If you love Switch as much as we do, you can help by expressing your support for Andrew Younger’s Traffic Control Persons Bill. Enabling well-trained volunteers to assist with street closures means lower operating costs for events like Switch. If street closures are more affordable, Open Street Sundays can happen more frequently.
Email Andrew Younger at email@example.com and CC the Department of Transportation at firstname.lastname@example.org. Let your representatives know why you love Switch and why Open Streets are important to you!
See you in Dartmouth on June 5th!
Open Street Sundays are back, but still too costly for organizers
Switch Dartmouth’s fifth Open Street Sunday is planned for this upcoming summer! On June 5th from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM, 2kms. of Dartmouth roads will be transformed into a multi-faceted event space that promotes the use of public streets for recreation, active transportation, and leisure-time activities. More information on the variety of activities offered will be announced in the coming weeks. The Planning and Design Centre, Downtown Dartmouth Business Commission, and HRM Bike Week are working together to make this year’s event the most successful Switch yet.
Switch is a collaborative event, so if you are interested in volunteering or if you’re a community organization interested in getting involved, please get in touch with us!
