The Planning & Design Centre and volunteer organizing team are looking for community groups, local organizations and interested individuals to help us activate and provide recreational programing for the routes.
There are three kinds of involvement, all of which are welcome.
1. Businesses, Vendors and installations set up a permanent spot at or nearby an activity nodes, or extend their exisiting business out onto the street. (food table, food truck, dj, bicycle maintenance station).
2. Route activators run a scheduled activity, usually emphasizing fitness (running groups, yoga, capoeira, tai chi, zumba, musicians, samba nova, HRM recreation)
3. Promoters distribute news of the switch through their networks and build awareness.
The general public does not need to sign up to attend the event. Participation is free of cost for both vendors and the public.
